A past pupil of St Joseph's college and Sri Lanka Law college. A classically trained concert pianist, film director and producer, HR professional, lecturer and trainer. An autodidact by nature with a tremendous work ethic his humble beginnings as Sri Lanka;s youngest elocution teacher at 17 morphed into leader & role model of today.
Angelo is the youngest Sri Lankan entrepreneur to have successfully disrupted the Broadcast Media, Education and Human Resource Development industries in Sri Lanka. Sandbox Consultancy Services Pvt Ltd. is only the most recent of his successes. Along with serving as the Managing Director at Sandbox, he also serves as the Managing Director of Technics Inter media, a broadcast media company he co-founded in 2011.
Angelo’s story covers over 15 years of a multi-faceted and collective experience in writing, directing, production, teaching, content design, consulting and corporate training and & talent development.
His value addition to Sandbox and its clients as an entrepreneur and innovator, a creative artist, a corporate consultant, an educator, and a technological advocate is cross-cutting and unique.
As an innovator and a technology pioneer in the learning and education space, he has developed Sri Lanka’s first homegrown people analytics tech for teams and leaders. Responsible for the design of multiple trademarked methodologies and HR tools such as the Sandbox Leadership Matrix™ and the Orbital Matrix Structure™
He is has also developed the first functional behavioural assessment center completely scalable and customized to fit each companies specific assessment needs.
He is also leading the space in team collaboration technology application in Sri Lanka; and in 2015 was the first to introduce virtual reality to the HR industry as a learning tool. He works closely with several collaborative technology partners locally and internationally to promote better and more effective team results though technology and is also extensively involved in distance learning, animations and broadcast media technology.

Angelo stands today as the only original mainstream animated educational content contributor to Sri Lankan television in the past 25 years.
Sandbox Consultancy Services Pvt Ltd, a specialized people analytics and experiential training company. Which in just 5 years has engaged over 60 top corporates in Sri Lanka which include Multi-National Corporations and Fortune 500 giants. The only trainer to have personally engaged with over 100,000 employees with his hands on approach, Angelo is the first Sri Lankan HR entrepreneur in his generation.

Self-taught and passionate director cum producer’s contribution to children’s television and broadcast media began in 2006, designing curriculums for the hit TV show ‘English Class for Me’. Angelo became the ‘first and only’ entrepreneur in Sri Lankan history to form a company dedicated to children’s’ TV. His ‘Jimi and Friends’ TV show launched in 2011, sent waves in the local animation tech industry using 2D, 3D and live puppetry as well as experimenting with stop motion tech for the first time in Sri Lanka. A fan base of over one million across the island, making well over a quarter million dollars in its first year is amazing!

With contributions and collaborations with CNBC and teams from Sesame Street, plus educating and inspiring millions of Sri Lankans, he is renowned as the only original mainstream animated educational content contributor to Sri Lankan television in the past 25 years.
Angelo’s gist of experience also encases bringing to life some of Sri Lanka’s most popular children’s TV characters, editing and animating cartoons and educational programmes, writing script and episodes for mainstream television content, writing and producing full-length corporate documentaries, directing and producing TV shows, as well as producing multi-camera broadcast productions for local and international media.

His acumen to empower future generations and Sri Lanka’s education industry, ‘Jimi and Friends’ show acclaimed the National Television Award - Runner up for the Most Outstanding Educational Program of the year, in 2012; creator of Amal and Kamal programme, Sri Lanka's largest grass root level decentralized learning framework that focused on behavioral change of community. Launched in 2012 away from public view, the trilingual curriculum operates with over 600 trained volunteers, reaching children and communities in underprivileged and poverty-stricken districts of Sri Lanka. The characters Amal and Kamal and their storylines penned by Angelo inculcating noble values among young people, is the ‘one & only of its kind’ program in Sri Lanka.
